RESEARCH

Focus
and
Interests

My research interests lie at the intersection of molecular biology, genetics, and translational biomedical science, with a particular emphasis on understanding and developing therapeutic strategies for rare genetic and neuromuscular disorders.

I am especially interested in research that bridges fundamental biological mechanisms with clinical and therapeutic applications.

Core Research Areas

Gene therapy for rare genetic diseases

Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and regenerative medicine

Genetic mechanisms underlying inherited diseases

Molecular and cellular biology of neuromuscular disorders

CRISPR-Cas9–based gene editing technologies

Research Motivation

My interest in genetic and neuromuscular disorders is not only academic but deeply personal. Living with a rare neuromuscular genetic condition (Muscular Dystrophy) has shaped my research perspective and reinforced my commitment to cure-oriented and patient-centric research.

This experience motivates me to pursue research that is ethically grounded, clinically relevant, and socially impactful, particularly for rare diseases that often receive limited attention.

Research Philosophy

I believe impactful research should:

  • Be grounded in strong fundamentals

  • Address real-world clinical and societal needs

  • Integrate ethical responsibility with innovation

  • Encourage collaboration across disciplines

My long-term goal is to contribute to translational research in gene therapy and rare genetic diseases, with a focus on developing solutions that improve quality of life and access to care.

Connect with Me

I am open to academic collaborations, research discussions, and interdisciplinary projects aligned with genetics, regenerative medicine, and rare disease research.
