ABOUT ME

I am a passionate life science researcher, educator, and science communicator with a strong foundation in molecular biology, genetics, and cell biology. I hold an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and a B.Voc in Medical Laboratory Technology, and I have qualified multiple national-level competitive examinations, including CSIR UGC NET JRF, DBT JRF, and GATE Biotechnology

MY STORY

My academic journey is driven by a deep curiosity to understand life at the molecular level and a purpose to translate science into meaningful impact. My primary research interests include gene therapy, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and rare genetic diseases. Being a person with a rare neuromuscular genetic disorder myself, I am personally motivated to contribute to cure-based therapeutic research, particularly for conditions such as Muscular Dystrophy.

Alongside research, I am actively involved in science education and outreach. Through my YouTube channel ShubhVed Tutorials, I mentor and guide students preparing for competitive examinations such as CSIR NET, GATE, and DBT JRF, with a strong focus on simplifying complex biological concepts. I also engage in public science communication to raise awareness about biology, health, and emerging biomedical technologies.

I enjoy working on new ideas, academic collaborations, and educational initiatives that bridge research, teaching, and real-world application. I believe that science, when communicated clearly and pursued with empathy, has the power to transform both lives and society.

Research Overview

My research interests lie at the intersection of gene therapy, genome editing, stem cell biology, and rare genetic disorders. I am particularly motivated by translational approaches that bridge fundamental molecular biology with therapeutic applications.

I aspire to pursue doctoral research focused on developing and understanding innovative strategies for the treatment of genetic and neuromuscular disorders.

Teaching Overview

Teaching has been an integral part of my academic journey. As a life science researcher and educator, I view teaching not just as the transfer of knowledge, but as a process of building understanding, confidence, and scientific curiosity.
